Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GOP Leadership Academy™ ("the Academy") at gopacademy.org and its related subdomains and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- Registration is open to the public, but certain courses beyond PC-101 are limited to verified precinct chairs.
- You must provide accurate, current information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account.
- You must verify your email address to earn certificates and access certain features.
2. Party officer verification
Access to advanced courses depends on your status as a credentialed precinct or state party officer, which is verified against the roster provided by your county or state party. Rosters are maintained by county or state chairs and administrators. You agree that your eligibility may be granted, revoked, or reinstated based on that roster, and that you will not misrepresent your identity or eligibility.
3. Certificates and credentials
- Certificates are issued automatically upon passing a course's final examination at the required score.
- Certificates may carry an expiration date. Where a course requires recertification, you may need to retake it to keep your certification current.
- Each certificate has a verifiable credential ID. You may share it, but you may not alter, forge, or misrepresent a certificate or credential.
- The Academy may correct, revoke, or reissue a credential issued in error or obtained through misrepresentation.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share your account, exam content, or answers, or otherwise attempt to cheat or undermine the integrity of an examination.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or its systems.
- Copy, redistribute, or resell course content, videos, or materials without permission.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
5. Intellectual property
Course content, videos, exams, text, graphics, logos, and the design of the Service are the property of the Academy or its licensors and are protected by law. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to access the materials for your own training. All other rights are reserved.
6. Use of your organization's name and logo
Upon your political party, committee, campaign, or other organization's subcription licence or use of the Service or platform you grant the Academy a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, commercial license to use that organization's name, logo, and marks, in all media now known or later developed, for the Academy's advertising and promotional purposes, including identifying the organization as a user of the Service. This license continues for as long as your organization uses the Service. The Academy will not use the marks in a way that falsely implies an endorsement beyond the fact of participation, and all rights in the marks not expressly granted here remain with the organization.
7. Recommended reading and third-party links
The Service may feature recommended books, tools and links to third-party sites, some of which may be sponsored or affiliate links. Such recommendations are for your convenience and do not create any obligation. Purchases and interactions with third-party sites are governed by those sites' own terms and policies.
8. Disclaimers
The training on this site provides political education and organizational strategy. It does not constitute legal advice, official party counsel, or a guarantee of electoral success.
The Service and all certificates are provided for educational and training purposes. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. A certificate reflects completion of training and does not, by itself, confer any office, legal authority, or official party position.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Academy and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed any amount you paid to us for it.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for conduct that harms the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located in Texas.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
